Called To Be A Blessing

1. WE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO DO THE WORK OF HIS (CHRIST’S) KINGDOM.

1 Peter 3:9 AMP
“Never return evil for evil or insult for insult – scolding, tongue-lashing, berating; but on the contrary blessing – praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God]- obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection.”

Ephesains 4:11-12-NLT
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

2. WE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE OF OURSELVES, THE WAY HE (CHRIST) GAVE OF HIMSELF.

1Timothy 6:18-NLT
6 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.

2Corinthians 8:12-14-NLT
12 Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 13 Of course, I don’t mean your giving should make life easy for others and hard for yourselves. I only mean that there should be some equality. 14 Right now you have plenty and can help those who are in need. Later, they will have plenty and can share with you when you need it. In this way, things will be equal.
